Your local charity working in and for the community of Sale Moor.

The charity exists to promote education, wellbeing, environmental improvement and prosperity for community benefit in Sale Moor. It started in 2001 with a focus on delivering a one-stop access point and a learning centre. Twenty plus years later the charity is still at the forefront of solving local issues. We are based at the Sale Moor Community Centre.

On the 1st January 2026 the Partnership gained the tenancy of the Sale Moor Community Centre. There are exciting times ahead as we look to make the centre a more modern and responsive place to community needs. Over 2026 we will be asking the lcoal community of Sale Moor & Brooklands to get involved and help us make the centre a sustainable and accesible place.

The charity initially had two “shops” used as a one-stop resource on the shop parade for over 20 years and built our team from the ground up with the help and support of our volunteers and partners. The one stop resource was a haven for the community and provided access to support, learning, activities and a social space. The Covid crisis necessitated that we work on issues even more pertinent to the needs of the community. During the pandemic we became the lead point for Food Bank distribution and worked with the Sale Community Hub as the Sale Moor Spoke to support residents in need and in crisis. After the pandemic subsided somewhat we continued to support the Food Bank and The Bread & Butter Thing projects with our volunters and team taking lead roles in both. We also worked with the Healthy Activity Fund to provide activities and food packs during the school holidays to children and young people in the community, Lots of other projects too such as the Xmas present gifting projects.

In April 2022 we had to leave finally our first home on the shop parade due to the impending demolition and rebuild of the shops and housing. We then led a nomadic existence at St Francis until that closed in August 2023 and then remotely and online for a period.

On the 1st November 2023 we started the process of moving our work into the Sale Moor Community Centre opposite Sale High School on Norris Road. We have helped to bring some of our partners into the centre; Food Bank, The Bread & Butter Thing, Sale Sharks, BluSci, Youth Service, food poverty projects and crisis support with our team and the Sale Community Hub have also been a key focus.
